Samantha Ruth
Samantha Ruth (she/her) is a painter, printmaker, ceramicist, and tattoo artist. She has been tattooing since 2021, beginning her journey during her time in art school. She started at Black Cat Tattoo in 2024, following her graduation from VIU with a BA in Visual Arts. Her work is fondly referred to as American Traditional-ish, highlighting the deep history of iconic imagery with a unique spin. Her work is influenced by her love for music, queerness, tenderness, and the tattooers who came before her.
